What does the treatment involve?
The procedure takes around 10 minutes. During the process, you will be asked to raise your eyebrows, frown and squint your eyes to mark out the unwanted lines on your face. Using very fine needles, a very small amount of muscle relaxant is injected into the target muscle. The injection may sting for a couple of seconds and normal activities can be resumed immediately after.
It takes 2-3 days for the cosmetic injections to begin working and up to 14 days to see the full results.
How many treatments will I need?
One treatment approximately every three to four months.
How long will the results last?
The desired effects and adverse effects of muscle relaxants are not permanent.
The effects of muscle relaxants last up to 3-4 months however this may be for a longer or shorter period depending on the individual. After this time muscle activity will resume and re-treatment is required.
